What is it?
A little Hackers infopeadia and quiz based on the movie "Hackers". I did it as a project for the subject "Multimedia Title Authoring". It's small, but it's fun to play with, so do try it out.

How it works
The program works as a Computer Based Training type of application. It has an hierachy structure, based on linear as well as non-linear (interactive) elements. The introduction for one requires no interactivity from the user at all, while the quiz section requires user response to the questions. To keep track of quiz scores, an internal scoring system is used via scripts. The bookmarks function was a script as well which I referred from a book. Basically how this program was made, was that elements (sound, pictures, etc) were assembled together (by me) while the actual internal mechanism does all the playing of sounds, displaying of pictures, and so on and so forth.
Authorware is a very high level application, unlike programming really, which is easier than traditional programming. It's more of Visual programming, without the code.
How it was implemented
Software used:
- Authorware
- Adobe Photoshop 5.0
- Windows 9X/NT
Photoshop was once again, used to for image manipulation. I obtained the sounds via a royalty free CDROM with media files. Authorware was used to put it all together, and testing / debugging was done on the Win9X/NT platform.
